Utah Sting are Fall League Champions!!

The Utah Sting beat Utah Attitude 3-1 to capture the Fall League Softball Championship! Attitude was the top seed in the playoffs before running into a determined Sting team! The 6 inning pitchers duel ended with the Sting winning the fall league title for the third consecutive year!

The Sting played 80 games in 2008 and finished with a record of 53-25-2!

Also a special thanks to Jillian and the Esparza family! Jill moves up to 18 unders next season! We'll miss you in the dugout Jill but we'll see you and the family around!! All the best!!

A big congrats to Sting Short Stop Taylor Austin! Taylor spent the weekend at the University of Utah on her official recruiting visit. Turns out she'll be staying...Coach Amy Hogue offered Tay a scholarship to play for the Utes! After she's done with the Sting, of course! (and High School). Taylor is a great example of the quality of  players and Coaches that make up the Sting Nation! Way to go Tay and GO STING!
